The Marl Creek TRACK Trail at McCormick Farm will take you on a scenic ½ mile hike featuring a variety of land and water habitats. Keep an eye out for dragonflies along the creek as you make your way to the pond that powers the historic grist mill. At the pond, discover the vast array of aquatic plants that provide food and shelter to many small critters! Look for ducks and geese diving for food and herons wading in the mud by the water's edge. The final loop in the trail will take you around a small meadow filled with beautiful wildflowers and native grasses. 

The TRACK Trail brochures will help you explore the environment of the Shenandoah Valley and learn about the variety of sites you may see on your hike. The adventures available include: Nature's Hide & Seek, Animal Athletes, Pond Life, and Quest for Dragons. Enjoy your woods and water adventure!
