The TRACK Trail Trailhead can be found on the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir Visitor Center (next to the entrance). The self-guided brochure led adventures were designed to be used on any of the trails within the reservoir; however, the official TRACK Trail is the Fish Dam Creek Trail. The Fish Dam Creek Trail begins on the other side of the dam, traverses down through the woods along Fish Dam Creek and to the base of the dam. The trail is an out-and-back trail and is approximately 1-mile long. Besides being designated a TRACK Trail, the Fish Dam Creek Trail is also on a portion of the Over Mountain Victory Trail, the Yadkin River Greenway Trail and has been designated a North Carolina Birding Trail.
W. Kerr Scott Reservoir is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operated flood control dam in Wilkesboro NC.
