The Rolling View Recreation Area TRACK a 0.75 mile loop through a mixed pine forest along the edge of Falls Lake.

Just outside of Wake Forest and Durham, Falls Lake State Recreation Area is a great way to excape urban life and enjoy lake life. With a 12,000-acre lake and 26,000 acres of woodlands, Falls Lake State Recreation Area offers a choice of recreation areas including: Beaverdam, B.W. Wells, Highway 50, Holly Point, Rolling View, Sandling Beach and Shinleaf.

Falls Lake State Recreation Area offers 300 campsites at four of the access areas, as well as five swim beaches (some reserved for paddlers and non-gasoline powered boats). Falls Lake State Recreation Area also offers a network of mountain biking trails as well as a separate and quiet lake impoundment perfect for paddling, fishing and swimming. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail winds through parts of the recreation area and is a centerpiece of a network of hiking trails.

The Animales Atletas/Animal Athletes adventure challenges kids to exercise with the animals. This bilingual brochure gives kids eight different animal exercises they can do along the trail, written in both English and Spanish. From hummingbird hand-swings to lizard pushups, kids are sure to have fun getting in shape with the animals during their outdoor adventures.
