Nantahala National Forest - Fires Creek

The Fires Creek TRACK Trail gives you an option of an easy paved 0.5 mile walk along Fires Creek or a moderate 0.7 mile loop up to Leatherwood Falls.

The Fires Creek Recreation Area offers opportunities for hiking, picnicking, trout fishing, or just wading in the beautiful stream. The TRACK Trail brochures will help you explore this environment and learn about the things you may find on your hike.
