The Mills River Park TRACK Trail is a 0.7 mile loop that takes hikers to the edge of Mills River. On your hike, keep a lookout for a wide range of birds that visit the fields and river.
Other amenities of Mills River Park include a dog park, playground with sunshade, swings, restroom facilities, picnic shelter, tennis/pickleball courts, handicapped accessible fishing pier, and canoe/kayak launch. The handicapped accessible fishing pier was built in cooperation with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. It can be reached via a concrete sidewalk that connects the existing paved path to the pier structure. The canoe/kayak launch access is only for non-motorized watercraft and is a step down type of launch.
