South Cove County Park - Mini

South Cove County Park is a 48-acre park in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and located on the clear waters of 1stunning Lake Keowee. Explore the South Cove TRACK Trail Mini by adventuring along the Hermit Thrush Nature Trail and along the shores of Lake Keowee. Visitors can use the "Birds of South Cove County Park" as well as the birdwatching station along the trail to look for and identify different types of birds.

In addition to the trail, South Cove Park offers a wide variety of day use facilities as well as lakeside camping. Fishing, boating, sailing and water skiing are readily available via three access ramps. Families can also enjoy pickleball courts, tennis courts, basketball, playground areas, picnic areas, a handicapped accessible fishing pier and a waterfront sand beach for sun bathing. 

The lake shore is thickly forested with mostly pine, and the lake itself is large with many inlets and coves to explore. Over 200 species of birds call this area home, including waterfowl, shorebirds, woodland birds and even the occasional peregrine falcon and bald eagle.
