2026 National TRACK Trails Day
Our favorite holiday is two weeks away! National TRACK Trails Day is an annual holiday celebrating the Kids in Parks’ national network of family-friendly TRACK Trails. This year marks the 17th anniversary of the program and the eighth year of the 'National TRACK Trails Day' holiday. National TRACK Trails Day (NTTD) honors Kids in Parks' commitment to getting children and families outside through the TRACK Trail network. Since the last NTTD in 2025, Kids in Parks has opened 34 new TRACK Trails across four states - including five fishing trails and our first paddle site! We currently have 382 TRACK Trails, but several more are joining the network during the upcoming National TRACK Trails Day weekend.
From city parks to national forests, we are grateful for every TRACK Trail location and the partners who make this network of family-friendly trails possible. For the whole weekend of NTTD (August 14-16), TRACK Trail sites across the country will be holding special events and grand openings. Find a TRACK Trail near you to celebrate our eighth National TRACK Trails Day!
