
Melting glacial ice formed this 1,350-acre lake thousands of years ago. Lake Herman State Park offers more than 3 miles of hiking trails with spectacular views of Lake Herman and historical features such as Herman Luce cabin.
Observe wildlife in native oak woodlands and prairie grasses which are inhabited by a variety of bids and animals. Camping, boating, fishing, and cross country skiing are favorite activities at the park.
