Every year, thousands of participants use Kids in Parks to explore outdoor spaces and discover something new about the natural world. Just this year, you all have TRACKed 5,000 Adventures across the country! No matter the TRACK Trail, whether it be at a local park or national one, each of your Adventures has a story.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re doing something a little different and asking you to give your voice. For a program that is over 16 years old, we want to know how Kids in Parks impacted your family. We get to see the number of participants and where you all go, but we’d love to hear your stories - your TRACK Trail Takeaways.

Submit a TRACK Trail Takeaway by uploading a video of your Trail TRACKer(s) sharing their favorite memory with Kids in Parks. Families can also submit a written ‘takeaway’ with pictures from their Adventures. We will compile these submissions into a video to share with our audience on Giving Tuesday.

By amplifying the voices of our users, we hope to highlight the positive impact and importance of Kids in Parks. Kids in Parks is a signature program of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations help keep the program free, add more TRACK Trail sites, and grow the next generation of healthy, curious explorers. Now through the end of the year, for every $40+ donation, you will receive a brand new Kids in Parks shirt. A $40 donation covers the cost of 250 activity guides - that’s 250 more families connecting to nature, getting active, and taking the first steps toward a brighter future for kids and parks.
