The Lake Poinsett Recreation Area Nature Trail Disc Golf Course is a ½ miles (one way) 9-hole course on grassy flat terrain.
One of the largest lakes in the state, Lake Poinsett was named after Joel Poinsett who served as U.S. Secretary of War. Lake Poinsett is 8,000 acres large and has over 30 miles of sandy shoreline. Lake Poinsett Recreation Area offers disc golf, a public beach, boat launch, and campgrounds.

Lake Poinsett Recreation Area is located in northeastern South Dakota, 14 miles northeast of the city of Arlington off of US Hwy 81. For a directional map please click here.
