Cherokee Lake

The Cherokee Lake TRACK Trail is a 0.9 mile, out-and-back (0.45 mile one way) along the banks of Cherokee Lake.

Along the way, hikers will be treated to the aquatic life of the lake, towering trees, mushrooms sprouting from the ground, and Persimmon Dam at the end of the trail.

With the Pond Life brochure, kids will learn the difference between producer and consumer organisms, and how to identify where a plant, animal, or insect fits into the ecosystem of a pond. This brochure will have kids keep an eye out for 12 common pond residents, and teach how these plants and animals use the pond.
