Take a journey through time! The Virginia Blue Ridge Railway TRACK Trail is a hiking, bicycling, & equestrian trail that was once part of the longest running, commercially successful short-line in American history. The trail meanders through the countryside affording views of rolling hills and farms as well as the two rivers. Little evidence of civilization meets the eye. Wildlife and wildflowers are abundant and the trail provides a safe, aesthetically pleasing experience.

The Nelson County TRACK Trail is located on the Virginia Blue Ridge Railway Trail that begins at the Depot on Patrick Henry Highway (Route 151) and continues for 7-miles along sections of the Piney and Tye Rivers. The TRACK Trail portion of the trail is the 1.8-mile long section (one-way) located between the Depot and the road crossing at Roses Mill Road (SR 674).
